Helloooo!

I’m writing this from Wellington. In the North Island! Cycling is now over, I’ve rented a car, and will head over Auckland’s way in 7 days and go diving up there in the Poor Knights. I’m kinda excited, but not really.

The last couple of weeks have just been one last minute plan after another. The biggest change: well, I’m no longer going to Australia!

Hiya!!

Wooohoo. Pfff. I’m still all ‘motioned and all that. (that’s an inconnus joke translated into English, I think it’ll be lost on pretty much everybody, even I am not sure what I’m saying…) Yesterday I decided to go skydiving, you know, I thought why not. It’s just, incredible!! I’ve got an awesome video too where you can see me going woo and waa and generally going nuts… 60 seconds of freefalling is awesome, even if you fall through a cloud and ice forms on your cheeks. (I was thinking it was getting a bit cold!)

But anyway, enough of this non-chronological malarchy, I’ll go and retrace my steps for the last week:

Here I am in Hokitika: the last bit of civilisation on the west coast. Apparently. Although given how full the backpackers are getting, I doubt I’ll manage to feel lonely enough!!

Somebody stole my CADBURY HOT CHOCOLATE!! I am NOT amused!! What am I going to have for my departure breakfast?

Anyway. So I’ve spent the last three days shopping for lots of bits of kit, including, erm, the bike. Which is lovely. Soooo smooth! I never knew bikes could get this good : ) When I changer gears, there’s no noise, no cracking, no skipping gears, smoooooooooth! And it’s got a very very handy super-granny gear which will be much needed.

Sooooo…. how did Fiji end? Beautifully!

Just spent an hour and a half uploading, detailing, tagging all my Fiji photos to date! (well not ALL of them of course, a tiny selection but…) I’m not sure how to add to this blog in a nice view so I’ll just give the flickr link!
